On Tuesday, February 24th Our Lady of Hope – Young at Heart group joined seniors from several other community churches for the showing of the movie “I Can Only Image 2” at the Indiana Theater in Washington. In total nearly 100 seniors participated in this event. All in attendance felt it was a great outing.
Russ Jordan, owner of the Indiana Theater, felt this event was very successful and offered to host the group monthly on the 4th Tuesday at 2:00 pm.

Movie - "Gone with the Wind"
On Tuesday, March 24th
Our Lady of Hope – Young at Heart members joined seniors from several other community churches now called the
Silver Screen Society for the showing of the movie “Gone with the Wind” at the Indiana Theater in Washington. In total nearly 80 seniors participated in this event.
March - Tour Red Skelton Museum, Musical Performance, and Lunch
March 26 - Arrival 10:00 am
On Thursday, March 26th, 33 members of the Our Lady of Hope - Young at Heart Ministry traveled to the Red Skelton Performing Arts Center located on the campus of Vincennes University. The group toured the Red Skelton Museum and Performing Arts Center. The group was treated to some great musical entertainment from a VU choir and by the VU Jazz Band. Following the entertainment, the group had lunch in the Red Skelton Gallery. The group had the opportunity to view numerous original oil paints by Red Skelton in the gallery before departing.

April - Visit to Grain Processing Company (GPC) in Washington
April 21 - Arrival 10:00 am
38 members of the Young at Heart group visited the GPC Facility located in Washington on Tuesday, April 21. The group was given a presentation about the GPC Facility in Washington as well as information about GPC's parent company by the Washington Plant Manager, Shannon Dalton. The group was informed about the GPC operation, their products, and where their products go. Thanks to GPC for hosting our April Young at Heart event.
Following the GPC Visit, the group gathered at Mi Pueblo for an enjoyable group lunch.

June - Visit to Candles Holocaust Museum in Terre Haute

A total of 34 members of the Young at Heart group visited the Candles Holocaust Museum located in Terre Haute on Tuesday, June 16th.
Following the tour of the museum, the group gathered at M. Mogger's Restaurant & Pub for an enjoyable group lunch.

July - Mass & Tour St Benedict Cathedral in Evansville
Mass Celebrate - Father Tyler
July 7th - Mass at 9:00 am
On Tuesday July 7th, 40 members of the Our Lady of Hope - Young at Heart Ministry traveled to the St Benedict Cathedral located in Evansville to attend their 9:00am Mass celebrated by Father Tyler. Following Mass, the group participated in the Rosary. Father Tyler spoke about the history of the Cathedral and answered questions for the Young at Heart members. Father Tyler also gave the Young at Heart group a guided tour of the cathedral.
Following the tour, the group traveled to Turoni's Forget Me Not Pizzery & Brewery for an enjoyable and tasty lunch. The group returned to Washington.
