Stewardship Commission:

Stewardship Commission at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church was chartered to foster a "stewardship way of life" among parishioners, moving beyond simple fundraising to encourage a spiritual response of gratitude to God through the sharing of time, talent, and treasure. 

Core Responsibilities:

• Education and Formation: Promoting the biblical understanding of stewardship as a lifestyle. This often includes hosting workshops, sharing lay witness testimonies, and providing resources for "gift discernment" to help parishioners identify their unique skills.

• Stewardship Renewal: Planning and executing campaigns where parishioners prayerfully commit their time, talents, and financial support to the parish.

• Ministry Coordination: Maintaining a current catalog of all parish ministries and volunteer opportunities. Ensure that those who volunteer are promptly contacted and integrated into parish life.

• Hospitality and Welcome: Developing programs to welcome new parishioners and help them feel at home and to orient newcomers to available ministries.

• Communication: Regularly publicizing stewardship messages through the monthly ministry presentations, Stewardship Newsletters, parish bulletin, parish website, and social media.

• Parish Weekly Challenges: These weekly prompts encourage parishioners to grow and share the mission of stewardship within our parish and our community, while strengthening our commitment of being of service to God and others.

Strategic Function:

The Stewardship Commission functions as a consultative body to the Pastor.  The Stewardship Commission focuses on the spiritual motivation behind the giving and the engagement of "time and talent".

2026 Objectives:

·       Organize & host a parish Celebration of Our Lady of Hope Feast Day.

·       Continue to provide the Stewardship Weekly Challenges for 2026.

·       Schedule Monthly Presenters for Highlighted Ministries for 2026.

·       Provide an on-line Listing of Our Lady of Hope Ministries.

·       Update the Stewardship Ministries for 2026.

·       Provide an on-line method to Request to Join a Ministry.

·       Plan for a Guest Priest to provide the Homily on Stewardship for Our Lady of Hope Parish for 2027.

·       Plan for the next Stewardship Renewal Campaign at Our Lady of Hope parish.

·       Provide on-going Website Direction, Enhancements, and Maintenance for ccwash.org.
