My Name is
Father Juan Ramirez

Rev. Juan Ramirez

Ordained: May 25, 2019

Associate Pastor, Our Lady of Hope Parish, Washington

I am originally from Guanajuato Mexico. I came to United States in 2003. I came to Chicago to live with my family. My mother is Cristina Torres and my father is Luis Ramirez. I have three sisters Ana, Cinthia and Yuliana, all of them are married. I have two nephews and two nieces.

When I came to Chicago my first job was at UPS for three years. After those three years I entered Casa Jesus to learn English and to discern my call to the Priesthood. After a year I decided to continue my formation and I moved to Saint Joseph College Seminary to finish my Philosophy degree at Loyola University. After five years I entered to the major Seminary in Chicago to study Theology. I did three years of formation in Mundelein Seminary. I took some time off but I continued my studies in a different school called Catholic Theological Union in Chicago in which I earned my Master in Divinity. Before I came to the Diocese of Evansville I was working as a D.R.E. in Good Shepherd parish in Chicago. My first assignment in the diocese of Evansville was working at the Office of Hispanic Ministry. I was ordained to the Priesthood by Bishop Joseph Siegel on May 25th 2019. I am the Associate Pastor at Our Lady of Hope and I feel very blessed to part of this wonderful Catholic Community of Washington.

God bless you,

Fr. Juan Ramirez
